What is Medical Hair Removal?
According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, irradiating the hair follicles with laser beams or other powerful energy beams to destroy the hair papilla, sebaceous gland openings, etc., in other words, irradiating the skin with energy that can cause hair loss, is a medical procedure.
In recent years, the need for hair removal services has been increasing not only among women, but also among men for beard hair removal, VIO line hair removal, hair removal for children and hair removal preparing for future elderly nursing care.
We understand that hair removal is a procedure that can cause burns and other health problems, and we believe that medical hair removal is a safe and effective method of hair removal.
Our Hair Removal Equipment
Our clinic uses Venus One, a machine made in Japan. It is a medical device approved by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare and the FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration).
It is a diode laser of both heat storage and thermal destruction type. The thermal destruction type is also called the shot type, melanin selective type, pigment selective type, or HR (hair removal) and achieves hair reduction by thermally destroying the hair follicle, hair papilla, and bulge area with a single laser shot. It is a method that allows patients to feel the hair removal effect from the early stage of irradiation, and is highly reliable and stable.
The heat storage type, also known as SHR (super hair removal), achieves the hair reduction effect by gradually increasing the temperature around the hair follicle and denaturating the hair follicle and bulge area through intermittent low-energy laser irradiation, which stores heat around the hair follicle. This method is painless and effective for patients with various types of hair (thickness, color, etc.) and dark skin. However, it is considered to have a high risk of causing hardening of the hair.
We use both the thermal destruction and heat storage methods to effectively remove hair depending on the thickness and density of the hair and the area to be irradiated, such as beards.
Venus One also irradiates small areas such as between the eyebrows, around the eyebrows, nose and ear hairs with a special cartridge with a small head that facilitates hair removal. This has been well received by both men and women for nose hair removal.

3Appointment for treatment
Please make an appointment at the reception desk.
4Pre-treatment
Please use a shaver or similar tool on the day before the treatment on the area to be depilated. You may leave it as it is for the first hair removal treatment. Before irradiation, we will examine the thickness and density of the hair.

We recommend that you make your next appointment after the treatment.
Reservations for the second and subsequent sessions can also be made through online reservations.
The recommended frequency of treatment is about five sessions every two to three months.
Precautions
・Please shave after the second treatment. Any leftover or forgotten shaving will be handled in accordance with the clinic's regulations.
・After the treatment, please keep your skin well-moisturized.
・Please refrain from tanning before and after the treatment. Although the equipment can irradiate tanned skin, please refrain to do so for safety reasons.
・Please take a shower only on the day of the treatment and refrain from taking a bath.

Children's skin is thin and can be painful even with the heat storage method, which is less painful for adults. Our clinic strives to provide safe hair removal techniques by combining thermal destruction and heat storage methods while cooling the skin. We also make sure that parents fully understand the advantages and disadvantages of hair removal for children. There are no reports of long-term prognosis for hair removal in childhood as far as we have been able to find. Even if hair reduction is achieved, there is a possibility that hair may grow back in the future. We want our patients to be able to enjoy their daily lives without being discouraged by their existing hair problems. We believe that safe and secure hair removal for children requires careful long-term observation.
