Earlobe Deformity post Facelift

Hi, this is Dr. Nakao from Nakao Plastic Surgery.

Deformity of the earlobe after a facelift can occur even if you are careful.

This is often called "pixie ear".

Second facelift surgery - correction of earlobes

You may recall that the former President of the United States, Joe Biden had this pointed out on the Internet.

So how is this correction done? There are two methods.

1. Make an incision again at the earlobe in a V-shape and move it forward to create a Y-shaped scar for improvement

2. Perform another neck lift to relieve the downward tension for improvement.

In this case, a modification was made by performing a neck lift during a Deep Plane Facelift surgery.

I performed the "Composite Neck Lift", a method that approaches deeper part of the neck to remove and to create a firm traction.

As you can see in the picture above, the progress is good.
