Facelift – Hybrid Facelift
Hi this is Dr. Takashi Nakao from Nakao Plastic Surgery.
Today, is a case on Hybrid Facelift.
Recently, there are two trends in the facelift industry.
One is the Deep Plane Facelift. This is the incision lift that we mainly perform in our clinic. It is about to become the mainstream of facelift surgery in Europe and the United States because it is a more natural and powerful lift.
The other is the Scarless Facelift.
This has been performed for some time, but in recent years the number of surgeons performing this type of surgery has been increasing. Scarless means that the front of the ear is not cut as in the Deep Plane Facelift. There are many scarless techniques and the main difference is if the midface is lifted at the same time.
In the case above, a Hybrid Facelift was performed on a patient who had undergone a facial osteotomy. The midface is done with a Scarless Facelift and the neck is done with a Neck Lift.
If the patient is young, a Hybrid Facelift can be effective for post-osteotomy facial sagging. As you can see in the picture, the Neck Lift worked well and the jawline is defined and we can see the depth in the neckline.
There are many sagging effects that are not due to aging, such as sagging due to the original skeletal structure and sagging after osteotomies.
Liposuction is an option for tightening, but there are also options for lifting the actual tissue.
We offer a wide variety of incision lifts, including endoscopic lifts.
